I need cat advice

We let our cat sleep in bed with us, it’s never been too big of a deal since we have an old bed. She likes to scratch at the box spring and the headboard. Now over time this has caused the bed to look disgusting. I just ordered a brand new mattress and bed set and I don’t want her doing this to the new bed (it wasn’t cheap). Well my husband and I decided we aren’t going to let her in the room at all anymore, which I feel bad because we’ve always let her in whenever. Tonight I tried testing her not being in the room with us before we get the new bed delivered and she was howling and scratching at our door so I finally let her in. I don’t know how to make this an easier transition for her, any ideas? I don’t want her to think we don’t love her anymore. (The bed will be here Thursday)
