Is this normal???

So I recently started a new birth control pill and I know that starting a new one can have a huge effect on your body. I was a few days late on my period ( which I know is normal) and yesterday I suddenly started my period. This morning when I woke up I had pretty bad cramps (which is normal for me) but I had two big blood clots.. I usually get blood clots if I am a few days late on my period but these were bigger than usual. I know it’s probably nothing to be worried about but just in case I want to make sure if this has happened to anyone else and it’s not something I should be worried about.
