Hitting - 3 yo

For the most part our 3 year old daughter is well behaved. She has her moments and tantrums, but they’re not concerning. Lately she’s gone on a hitting streak. She only hits my husband and I and it’s when she’s frustrated or if she’s told no to something. This never happens in public, only when we’re in our house. She never hits other children, our parents, other adults or her 5 month old sister. I am calm when she hits because I’ve reacted before and it has gotten bad...hyperventilating, etc. When she hits she comes back to do it over and over and lunges at us. I’m at a loss. Could there be something wrong? How have you handled this if you’ve been through it?
