My one year old dropped something on her fingernail and now it’s turning black, is there anything a doctor could do at this point?

I was told by her pediatrician that the nail would most likely heal on its own or just fall off. Sorry for the blurry picture, kinda hard to keep a toddler still. Lol.

Unless the blood is pooling and causing pressure under the nail and therefore pain you just have to wait it out

My daughter had this happen months ago. Unfortunately all we have been able to do is wait it out as it doesn't seem to be causing any pain. It's been months and I feel like we're just starting to see new toe nail growth

My grandpa was a mechanic and used to get these all the time. The only thing he used to do was drill it a little if there was a lot of pressure built up. He was a weird guy.

Nope nothing you can do. Just wait it for to fall off and it'll probably take a while for it to fall off
