could i get pregnant

Hi all! so i have been taking birth control for about two years now. I stopped taking it like in late january of this year and went about a month and a half without it. i have my period about two weeks ago and then i started birth control again four days ago because i was active with my boyfriend again. we had sex a few times in two days on vacation. i have only been on birth control for like less than four days. is the birth control effective?

i read on planned parenthood that it takes seven days of taking the birth control to be effective but i'm wondering if that applies to those who have already start birth control and have it in their system still?
