Whenever I have a huge fight with my husband and vent to someone, why is it the first thing they suggest is a divorce?! I’ve been with this man 6 years and we’re in the middle of fertility treatments. Why would it be ok to say “you should divorce him”.. howbout some encouraging words? Or maybe advice not just get rid of the marriage???Smh🤦🏼‍♀️ Never feel supported. The marriage may be doomed to fail if my own family can’t even support it or help ever. I try not to vent but sometimes I bottle everything up so much it eats me alive and I have to express it somehow. I still don’t see how someone can just say “divorce.” Like it’s an easy fix.

Well it really depends on the problems you guys have. If it's just a disagreement ghen they are overreacting, if he abuses you then they are right.

You should not really be disclosing to family especially if they are not in long term commited relationships with experience.

Here is advice that I learned earlier on in my marriage.  Don’t ever vent to family or close friends.  They will end up hating your husband and your relationship will always have that strain.  If you need to talk about it, then it’s best to have a calm and constructive conversation with your spouse.  But if that isn’t enough for you, only involve a therapist.  It isn’t fair to your husband to talk behind his back to other people, especially if they know him.

I see it a lot on here too and I don’t understand it. We don’t know what happens behind closed doors and guess what no relationship or marriage is perfect. I always say fight for your family, & fight for your man (unless it’s domestic violence or infidelity) of course..... 
Couples argue, couples disagree, it’s life..... 
no one is perfect, fertility stuff is also difficult I am in the same situation with trying to conceive.

Perhaps what you’re fighting about is hard line for them and if you’ve come to them about it over and over, that is the best advice they can give. If it’s a dealbreaker for them, that’s a totally reasonable thing to say. The other option is to learn how to speak to your husband or go to therapy.

I know right! I think it’s part of this throw away culture. Somethings broken you throw it away. A lot of people nowadays seem to feel like marriage is the same thing. When it breaks throw it away and get a new one :( 😭 so sad.

Depends what the fight is about. And do you complain about the same issues over and over.
You have to be careful who, if anyone, you vent to about your marriage/relationships. It will be very hard later to convince someone that they are a good person if they were treating you poorly
