“You can’t say no to me!”

Ki

I’m a FTM, and hear this phrase spoken a lot at parks. My son is only 16 months old so I have not experienced my child really saying no to me. (And honestly trying to encourage it)

With all the talk about consent, and how it is so important to teach them they have a say in what happens to their body, its odd to me when parents say “you can’t say no to me!”

Maybe I’m over thinking it. But what do you guys think?

Side note: I’m not trying to mom-shame, and if I am, I’m sorry.
