Glucose test?

I am a little confused, I’m getting my glucose test done, and they didn’t draw a sample before having me take the drink. She just had me drink it, and sent me back out to wait my hour. Is this normal? Last time they drew blood before and after?

I had mine done yesterday. I had to drink mine at home an hour before ny appt so they didnt draw blood before. I failed mine. My levels came back at 170. I have to go back tomorrow for the 3 hour one. Good luck to you

My dr does urine before and blood after if it’s just the 1hr test.

I just had mine last week and didn’t get before blood either.

For nine I have to fast. I can't eat anything 6 or 8hrs before and I have to have my blood drawn an hr after I drink my drink.

I had mine today and all my doctor had told me was to eat a lighter breakfast. But they only took my blood 1hr after the drink

I just had my glucose test on Monday. I didn’t have to fast, just was told not to eat at least an hour before my appointment. I also did not get blood drawn before the drink, only after. I think that’s standard for the one 1 hr test. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I don’t think in the one hour they do the fasting blood work. So the one they take before the drink. The 2 hour one they do
