5w5d ultrasound

So today I went for my first ultrasound today. I was guessing I was round 6w5d based off my period but I should have known I ovulated late based on my history.

Anyway, in the ultrasound the tech was looking and found the sac and a fetal pole to the left. Then when she turned the screen towards me she found a heartbeat in the middle on the top. Is possible to be twins? I only ask because it runs in both me and my boyfriends families (on both sides 😳) I go back on the 23rd for another ultrasound but I’m curious!
