Twins/Multiples First Trimester Weight gain?

Hi mamas! I’m entering my 12th week of pregnancy with Di/Di twins and I’m just curious about how much y’all gained during your first trimester? No judgement or criticism, I’m genuinely curious because “normal” weight gain definitely doesn’t apply to a multiples pregnancy!

I lost five pounds during my first trimester. I think I’ve gained one so far in the second trimester (16w4d). I look bigger, my clothes don’t fit, and the babies are growing, but they have definitely been taking any fat stores I may have had. My doc wasn’t worried at my last appointment. My BMI is on the lower end of normal, so I wanted to make sure the babies get all they need. He said 12-15 pounds of weight gain, even with twins would be fine/ideal. Personally, I’d like to gain closer to 20, because I know some of that weight is fluid and breasts, and I’d like my babies to be a healthy weight when they are born.

I look massive but I’ve only gained 2 pounds at 12 weeks. I’ve heard you should aim for 6-10 but idk how true that is just based on internet research

I think around 10 pounds. I’ve always heard the goal is to gain 28 lbs by 28 weeks to have the healthiest twin birth weights. I’ve been exactly on track with that recommendation.

I think first trimester I gained maybe 10lbs. It all hit me in my second trimester lol. I gave birth at 34 weeks and gained a total of 40ish lbs.

I’m not sure how much weight I have gained in my first trimester but I do sure feel like a whale!

I put on 5lbs in first trimester and at 23weeks have put on 21lbs so far.
