Delivering 3+ hours way?

First off I'm not pregnant yet. I recently moved to a rural community and the hospital is S***. I recently called to set up my yearly and asked about a good obgyn because my husband and I were ttc. They told me the strongly recommended I use one of the two hospitals ( both 3+ hours away) instead for all my prenatal needs. I don't know many women here yet but have spoken to one that did deliver here and she said she had a good experience.

This will be our first. So I'm fairly nervous. I LOVED my OB back home ( one of the places they recommended) we would like to start up clomid soon, and Id like to us the same Dr./ office for everything.

So my question is. Has any one else delivered that far away? What was your experience like with check ups and induction ect.
