Should dad be allowed in the delivery room if he hasn’t been around/supportive for the pregnancy?

You should feel nothing but support while in labor. If he can’t provide that, find someone else.

Mom should have someone that will support her through labor and delivery and do nothing but uplift and encourage.  Dad doesn’t need to see the baby emerge from her vagina to bond with them.  He can visit after birth.  Labor is 100% about mom though.

I have the same question then I was like NOPE, absolutely not. I need support during that time and I can’t imagine him giving me the support I need during a tough time.

This happened with my aunt. The man wasn’t involved. He was there at the hospital, but he wasn’t in the room. Probably for the best. Two years later when they went to court, the judge asked if he even knew his daughter’s birthday and he said no. The judge then asked if he was there at the hospital and he said yes. The judge then asked again, how do you not know your daughter’s birthday. He responded how was I supposed to know she was being born. 🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️ You don’t want him there, don’t have him. Pretty sure with Covid he can’t just wait in the hospital. But do what keeps you calm and happy.
