Hate Nicknames

How can I make sure no one shortens our kids name? I feel like if someone wants to do that they should run it by you and if you don’t want nicknames they should respect that.

If I give my kid a beautiful name, like Alexandra for instance, I want her called Alexandra. Also I have a daughter with a double name and people (even family) are constantly trying to use only half her name, when she and I have been vocal about it.
