People kissing newborn

I’m nearing my due date and I’m starting to see posts about parents not allowing people to kiss their newborns. I looked into it and read that the main concern is the herpes virus which could harm a little baby with a very weak immune system. I’m just wondering how many people listened to this advice and actually told family not to kiss their babies?

We’re living with my mom right now and this whole pregnancy she’s disregarded my wishes and called me ridiculous for little things like not letting her touch my belly and said I’m acting insane so I know this request won’t go well with her and there’s a good chance she won’t even listen. My mom also frequently gets cold sores. AND she’s a very hands on, kissy person. All these things are starting to worry me as a first time mom and I’m not sure whether to tell her not to kiss our baby and also whether my fiancé and I shouldn’t kiss her... I don’t know if I can stop myself.
