How to donate milk
I have an over supply and would love to donate some of my milk, but a milk bank won't take it because I am exposed to HIV. My SO is HIV positive and is 100% med compliant and is undetectable (and therefore can't tansmit). I am tested regularly and am negative and we also always use condoms ( except when conceiving and during that time I was on prep).
We just had a little one who is also negative and she is exclusively breastfed. I feel 1000% percent confident giving her my milk. But I know there is a lot if stigma and lack of knowledge and misinformation about hiv and therefore many people may not be comfortable using my milk. So I was I thinking perhaps I could donate it to an hiv positive baby or an hiv positive mama who is not able to breastfeed. I just don't know how to them!
I know I can always give my LO lots of milk baths and make milk soap and milk lotion, etc. But if I can I would love to see my milk go to a baby who needs it ❤❤
Any help or ideas on how to make these connections would so greatly appreciated!
