How long is screen time in your home?

Excluding school. How many hours a day do you let your kids watch shows and or play video games?

No real limit in my house either. Like others said the TV plays movies all day for background noise and my kids run around and play and might stop and watch for a few minutes here and there. On top of that I let my 4 year old play on his tablet for a couple hours during quiettime so everyone lays down and gets a break. We also make it a point to go outside and play and go for walks everyday to help balance.

lol we don’t have limits. Tv is on all day. But my 4 year old watches maybe 2 movies worth, sometimes just 1- cause most of the time it’s just on something he likes to listen to🤷🏻‍♀️ and my 1 year old isn’t super interested in tv yet. She plays with him- sometimes glances at something 🤷🏻‍♀️ We all don’t like quiet lol

We don’t do limits but the tv is on for background noise. My oldest knows after her schoolwork is done for the day she can play on her iPad until bed time. On the weekends it’s all free range. We are usually pretty busy though so there’s really not a lot of time for iPad.

3 yo and 20 mo here who watch between 1-2.5 hrs a day (mostly 1.5-2). We don’t have a set limit, I just try to keep it to a minimum, but that means it varies day to day depending on what cleaning/outings we have planned. I’m also 22 wks with number 3 and a rough go with hyperemesis that’s thankfully much improved now, but still a factor some days. They watch while I make breakfast in the morning, while I make lunch before noon (that’s a short one usually, sometimes there’s a little in between), when they wake up from a nap (usually til they have a snack and are ready to go outside), and while I throw supper together (my husband is very rarely home before bedtime, if then). I hate how much screen time they have and would prefer it be a one hour limit per day and no more than 30 mins at a time, but they’re in a phase where they’re just at each other’s throats 95% of the time when together unsupervised and I need some sanity while I get meals made etc. it doesn’t!5 prevent it all, but as long as I’m not taking too long, it gives me more peace than not.

Abt 2 hrs total for my 2 5yo. In 30min chunks before lunch,, before nap, before dinner and b4 bed.

For my 2.5 year old its about 3-4 hours total. 1.5hrs while I make lunch/wind down for nap. Then while I make dinner and afterwards we watch as a family until bedtime.
