When did OB check to see if you are dilated?

My dr wanted to check me at 36 weeks today and I opted out until next week.

I got checked when they do that swab at 36 weeks, can’t remember what it’s called

I was never checked until I went to the hospital in labor at 39w2d 🤷🏻‍♀️ they never offered and I never asked!

I declined them all until I was threatened with induction then they checked me and did a sweep.

Mine always start at 36 weeks but I opt out of all of them. I did them all with my first realized it literally doesn’t matter unless you’re in labor and declined all checks with my second which I will do with this one as well.

I’ve been checked a few times due to spotting and I’m 25 weeks, last time I got told I was 1cm at 23 weeks but I luckily wasn’t

I got checked at 37w when they did a cervical sweep with my first in hopes of avoiding an induction (has preeclampsia)
Wasn’t checked until labor with my second (declined) or third (not offered)

The office offers them starting at 36 weeks, but I opted out of cervical checks until I was in labor. My OB says it was optional and that it’s not a good indicator of when you’ll go into labor.
