⚠️ Trigger warning ⚠️ ectopic pregnancy
Admin delete if not allowed. Apologies in advance
Maybe it’s just me but I wanted to warn others of the mistake I made. Everyone won’t have the same symptoms or the standard symptoms.
I took a test on 3/28 and it was positive. Went to the ER since I had a completely blocked left tube. They did both ultrasounds transvaginal and abdominal and they couldn’t find the pregnancy. Did blood test and my numbers were rising appropriately. Fast forward to Friday April 2 at 11pm my whole abdominal system began to hurt. What I didn’t know was the follicle burst inside my tube. At 6 weeks exactly. I had no vaginal bleeding. No shoulder pain. None of the common symptoms. My problem was I couldn’t poop or pee. I tried all night but I wouldn’t happen. Called my advice nurse line and they told me I needed GasX and a stool softener. The next day was better finally used the bathroom so I didn’t think anything of it. Spent my birthday with friends in minor pain. But Sunday everything went left. I burst out in a complete sweat on the toilet trying to poop. I got light headed and would rather lay on the cold bathroom floor than sit up. I only got nauseous when I took the GasX. Luckily my mom and husband called the paramedics who rushed me to the hospital. My “constipation” or IBS symptoms were actually a uterus full of blood. I said all this to say please get yourself checked out. I was stubborn. Don’t just waive it off to something simple. I knew I had tube issues but didn’t think that was the issue since it wasn’t the symptoms I read about ectopic pregnancies. I am not trying to scare anyone and I apologize if that’s the vibe you get. I just hope no one makes the same mistake I made.
