When to take progesterone 🤔

Question

For those of you that take progesterone, do you start it the day after your ovulation or a few days after your ovulation? My doctor just told me 2 weeks before my period... I got my peak opk 2 days ago. Just seeing what everyone does.

I waited until I was 5dpo to start mine, just in case ovulation was little later than I thought and didn’t want to effect it! Then I took it for 14 days! After that tested if negative then stopped and 2-3days my period would come but if it was positive I carried on taking them! (Sorry got carried away😅)

I wait till I actually confirm ovulation with temps, so not till after 3 dpo, other times I wait till 7 dpo when I get progesterone check. If you take to early it can stop you from ovulating so you need to make sure you confirm.
