Is this weird?
My boyfriend and I just had a baby. Baby was not planned. He has an aunt who is 48, single, and had a hysterectomy. Ever since the later portion of my pregnancy, she has made it a point to keep “reinforcing” something he said when he was a CHILD and it rubs me the wrong way.
When he was younger, I guess he told her that he would take care of her when she got old. So EVERY TIME we see her, she says something about him taking care of her at least twice. We’ll be joking around and she’ll say “you’re SOO taking care of me when im older now”. She’s even told him that him saying this (when he was like 6-7 😳) is why she didn’t have any kids. And even mentioned it when we saw her for the first time after I gave birth (I was only like 3 days postpartum)
I like his family but we JUST had a baby. And he’s a preemie too and has had some complications. We’re already stressing how we’re going to take care of the baby and trying to focus on him. I feel like his aunt pushing to make sure we take care of her is really unnecessary right now
