What to expect with the COVID vaccine

I get vaccinated tomorrow  :) I’m super excited but nervous. I’ll have both shots in before prom so that’s a plus. 
I’ve already had covid and I have a huge fear of needles. Could you tell me what to expect? 
Additionally, I have irregular periods, and I know there’s not too much evidence, but did it do anything to your cycle? Let me know!

It's going to make you feel sick every single person that I know that for the shot got sick as a dog but now they feel better

No way to know for sure how you’ll feel. I had my first shot on Friday and had a sore arm, tired, a little achy, and no appetite / upset stomach. But it didn’t stop me from doing my regular day activities. I did get my period that night, which was unexpected since I haven’t had it since Oct 2019 and I’m still breastfeeding.

I’ve had both Moderna shots. The first shot I had a super sore arm, but didn’t actually feel the shot itself. The sore arm last a good 4-5 days. My second shot I had a headache and was super tired the next day. That was it! Some people do feel crummy after their second shot so just plan on having no plans the next day. 
Neither shot affected my cycle. Good luck!!!

Because you’ve already had covid there’s a chance you’ll really feel awful after one of the shots. I’ve never had covid so neither of the shots affected me much.
After my second I just have some body aches but they went away after a day. I had Pfizer

I had the Astra Zeneca vaccine and had covid last year. The vaccine itself was fine and very quick/painless. A couple of hours later I had a slight ache in my arm and the next day I woke up feeling really hot, tired and achy. Had 2 days of mostly sleep and paracetamol and then back to normal. I’ve heard it’s common if you have the AZ vaccine and have had the virus to fry flu-y symptoms after the first one but be fine after the second

I have had my first dose of Pfizer. I felt fine. I didn’t get sick or have any side effects. My arm was sore for the remainder of the day, but fine when I woke up the next day.

I got my first Moderna shot a couple of weeks ago. I had a sore arm for a couple of days similar to what happens with a flu shot and no other side effects. I also just finished my first period since the vaccine and it was normal.
