I want to be nerdy and tell you about this video game and what I did

My favorite game right now is fallout 4.

Let me give some backstory, nuclear war happened and destroyed the world. main characters son was kidnapped out of a vault where their family was being kept frozen, he was kidnapped by this place called the institute because they wanted his prewar DNA that hadn’t been touched by radiation to create synthetic humans. so there are synthetic humans now. Also your son became the leader of the institute after being raised by them.

They are flesh and blood, and sentient and they want to be free, they were made to be slaves and you either have the choice to set them free or become the institutes director. The institute, out of the entire fallout franchise is the most advanced. Probably the most advanced human faction after the nuclear war and killing them all is such a waste. IMO it’s setting humankind back.

I thought why the fuck do you not get the choice to control the institute after becoming its leader, free all of the synths and call it a day.

So I modded it, and I not only set them free but made their enslavement punishable by death.

I also made harming citizens of the commonwealth punishable by death and I killed everyone who disagreed with my decision, which is probably bad but like if you’re saying I’d rather die than let slaves go, you probably should die.

If you’re a fallout 4 fan, yes I had the railroad involved and convinced them to side with me and my new plans. I also destroyed the brotherhood because of their extreme xenophobia. In this mod, west coast brotherhood shows up and was like “okay. You got us. Maxon was a psycho that waged war with a faction that was not bothering him. But we span the entire continent. You can’t take us down. We agree to remain civil as long as we share resources and you keep the technology of how you made the synths private. And I was like okay.

So the brotherhood of steal occupies my institute with diplomatic immunity, unarmed, so that they have access to the robotics division. In turn, a faction that has the man power of the entire continent and decades worth of time to build itself and absolutely has the ability to wipe us out leaves me the fuck alone. As long as you follow the agreement, They are forbidden to lay a hand against us.

And oh, I also got Virgil to come back and live in the institute. He was a scientist who fled because he was against all the evil shit the

Institute had done. For example, kidnapping people and replacing them with synths. Kidnapping my characters infant for his DNA and killing her husband, and leaving you on ice for 60 years until your son is 60 and dying of cancer and is like “lol what happens if I thawed momma out and set her loose.”

Infecting their kidnap victims with a virus as an experiment and they were all out pieces of shit that really did the most. I ended all of that, so he came back.

I also saved Shaun and put him in a shack on some random settlement like momma didn’t raise no spoiled bitch. Keep in mind that Shaun is your son but also previously a slave master and by setting the synths free you are crapping on his legacy. I don’t like him but it’s the only son I have so he lives, but lives in a shack outside. With his legacy brutally shat on.

I’m over here like what type of human am I lmfao I got mad at the game so I downloaded mods and made it exactly what I wanted it to be so that I don’t have random guilt about enslaving an entire people while playing the game. Thanks Bethesda for the content but mod authors are better than you, and provide the ability to make an entire new game. It is lore friendly and realistic like voiced actors, someone paid people for voice acting to help make to make this mod. They need to HIRE these mod creators. They are taking video games and rewriting their codes and then they put this crap up so you can download it for free and enjoy their work.

I’m not being a slave master. I’m not siding with xenophobic assholes, but I will take this post war golden egg and turn it into whatever I want. Imagine what I could do with this mod if I wanted to do an evil play through.

You totally have the ability to kill maxon, replace him with a synth and control the common wealths faction of the brotherhood but I opted out. I literally hate the commonwealth brotherhood they are the most racist fucking assholes ever so I blew their giant air balloon out of the sky.
