Soon to be 2 year old boy talking yet

I’m so frustrated when my child was 16 months I mentioned he’s not talking much at 18 months I was referred to speech therapy. He cried to whole time so after 3 sessions they basically said not to bring him back. Now he will be 2 I’m 2 days and only says mama, dada, yellow, and wawa. Sometimes occasionally he will mimic I love your or good night. The speech therapist said he’s not autistic..... sooo I’m not sure what it could be.... has anyone else been in the same boat?
