What should I do???

My ex bf and I were together for 5 years. He recently broke up with me and told me that he was seeing someone else. And wanted to leave me for her.

I was absolutely heartbroken.

We recently started talking again, and he told me that he was never seeing someone else and that he just said that to break up with me. I was so upset because his lie caused me so much pain.

He apologized and even cried to me that he regrets breaking up with me.

I am trying to rebuild a friendship with him and see where it goes but my family and friends aren’t supportive. They all think I should move on from him and don’t trust him. But I love him. We have been together for 5 years. I am angry at what he did.

What should I do ???
