Cervix did not dilate

Hi ladies, I had my baby boy via csection about a year in a half ago. I was induced, my water broke, but even after 50 hours of labor, I did not dilate past 6cm.

I’m wondering if anyone had this experience with their first, but then had a successful VBAC?

My husband and I want to start trying, but I’m just so nervous about another csection.

Check out the podcast The Vbac Link! I bet there have been quite a few similar stories with successful vbacd after. It is seriously the best

Yes I had a similar story except I stopped at 9cm. Come to find out he was sunny side up. My second baby I went into spontaneous labor at 38w2d and had a successful vbac an a 12hour labor. It was seriously a breeze in comparison. Funny thing was my second was 3 weeks earlier than my first baby and weighed more lol

Yeah I had a lot of prodromal labor with both of my pregnancies but after my first being sunny side up every time i would have contractions with my second i would rock on hands and knees. Its a good position to help baby get in a good position

Look into cervical scar tissue!

Thank you for sharing. They did do an ultrasound right before we decided for a csection, and he was not in the best position, his face was facing toward my thighs (if that makes sense.) This was encouraging, thank you!
