No. It’s judgmental to call other people selfish for choosing to have children or not though.
I found out I was pregnant exactly one month before lockdown started. I was scared to bring my baby into the world because of how everything was going, but I’ll be damned if I let anyone tell me that my love for my daughter is selfish

I’d say it’s anything but selfish to have kids at any point in time. I literally worry about myself LAST. I put myself LAST. Sorry, but that’s the opposite of selfish.

i think it’s selfish to have children, in cases where you aren’t truly ready for them. 
and i am not talking about being financially ready. the vast majority of parents do not work on themselves before having kids, then they have kids and abuse them in similar ways their parents abused them in the past. 
it’s selfish to have kids, and use them as literal and metaphorical punching bags, for whenever you’re frustrated with your own life. 
too many parents hide behind the BS excuse of “discipline” when the reality is they are causing psychological and emotional harm to their children.

I feel like there are a lot of defensive comments on here. I have always wanted to be a mother but for that reason I have also always thought the decision to bring a life into the world is somewhat selfish because it is usually done to satisfy our own want. Children don't ask to be born. Especially considering the problems children will encounter in our world and also how many children need homes, wanting a child can seem selfish. I don't think it makes a person selfish overalk though. 
Parenting in a quality manner (sometimes for some parents that means placing a child for adoption)r, being pregnant, giving birth and raising children the best we can requires us to be selfless. Being devoted to raising quality human beings who can add to the world requires being selfless.
