Teaching your children about disabilities

My oldest daughter is almost 4 and she talks A LOT! Like most kids her ages she has questions about everything. But what I’m worried about is the day she would ask something like “mommy why does that man/lady look like that?”. We almost made contact in a parking lot with a lady in a wheelchair that only had one leg. I quickly put my daughter in the car. I know kids are curious but I just don’t want my kid to embarrass me or make the person feel bad. Do any of y’all talk to y’all’s kids at home before hand, about people with disabilities? I’m thinking of teaching my daughter now so when we are in public it feels more normal for her so she would just overlook it.

I mean no disrespect to this topic. Please educate me to educate her for when this time comes.
