How long to wait before trying again?

I’m 24 weeks pregnant now. I want to have my kids close in age. How soon can I try again without higher risk of complications?

This needs to be asked to your doctor and is dependent on many things. Your age, health history, pregnancy history, and how your birth goes all contribute to risks with second pregnancies. Some doctors will say wait 18 months, but some doctors believe this risk is minimal to try again soon.

You need to wait and see how the 4th trimester goes. You could love it or absolutely hate it. 
I’m surprised nobody has jumped down your throat saying 18m minimum. 
Speak with your doctor because besides you, he or she knows your body best. I got pregnant 4 months PP then 3 months PP. No complications with ANY pregnancy.

Got pregnant with my second when my first was 6 months old. They are 14 months apart. No complications with either. Definitely would never have planned it that way tho. I wasn’t trying with my second I was actually on the pill. 2 under 2 is by no means easy. It’s exhausting. They aren’t even close lmao. They fight all the time and they are 6&5 now. I had my daughter when they were 4&3 and that was by far such an easier transition. Now we are having twins right before my daughter turns two lmao. Enjoy your first child. Give them your time and attention before you have to split your attention on 2 children. Allow them to be an only child for a little bit. You don’t need to rush it

We started trying right around my sons first birthday. Had a miscarriage then got pregnant with my second son 3 months after he turned one. 
We decided with this one to start trying when our youngest was 8 months (around Christmas) thinking it would take a bit. Got pregnant first month of trying and come September I will have 3 3 and under. 
But definitely talk with your doctor and wait till after you have this one to decide. There’s a lot of factors that can come into play on deciding.
