When are you moving your October baby out of your room?

The AAP says to keep them in your room for a year, but I’m wondering if moving my boy to his own room will help with the sleep training. 😖

I moved my son in March and his sleep has been a million times better since then

Sleep training is still possible with him in the room. We sleep trained my son and sneak in the room after lol

Yeah we didn’t follow that 🙈 we follow every single other safe sleeping practice and have an amazing baby monitor, so she’s been in her own room since day 1. It’s worked fabulously for us. We are working on sleep training now

I sleep trained at 5.5 months. This meant moving her to her room also. Before we did this, we were co-sleeping and she was feeding 2-3 times at night. First night I sleep trained, she slept the whole night, not waking up once to eat! She is so much more comfortable in her own bed and in her own room. My husband and I are sleeping much better too! We have a great monitor and every time I wake up, I check on her. So far so good 💕

We moved my son at 4 months, but this time around our gal is staying in our room for at least a year. She’ll be sharing a room with her brother when we do move her so I want to make sure she’s sleeping through the night well before that 😅

We didn't follow that, she's been in her room since she was 2 months lol. 
If I'm not mistaken the risk of SIDS goes down drastically after 6 months so I would do it now if that's what you want
