Crawling and pet hair

We recently purchased a new home and they had pets, two dogs and a cat. I got the carpets cleaned when we moved in but there’s still pet hair embedded into the carpet. My LO isn’t crawling yet but I cringe every time I think about him crawling and then putting his hands in his mouth and potentially having pet hair in his mouth. For those with pets, how are you handling this? I really want to replace carpet In the entire house but that would be expensive.
