My nonverbal autistic son now knows 3 words

My 9 year old son is nonverbal. My teenage step son moved in with us so he could go to a better school. My son took a fascination with my step son because he played the flute for band and liked to listen to him play. My step son started letting him come in the room to listen to him practice. They built a great bond. My son's first word was flute. My step son has been trying to show my 9 year old how to play the flute and brought his marching band friends over to teach my son how to be in a marching band. My son now says three words. Flute, music... And Tristien. My step son's name... I'm gonna cry again. The first time he said Tristien was when he wanted to play him hot cross bons. He held up my step son's flute and said Tristien... Tristien actually cried. So did I. The bond they have is amazing!
