Nail salons?

Today I had to get some gel removed from my nails. The girl wrapped foil around my nails with acetone and it even burned?? I’m pretty sure my skin on my nails absorbed it. How harmful can this be to my baby?

I’ve had acrylic nails all the way with baby number 3 and also with this baby (31 weeks)
Every so often get them removed then a fresh set. I trust my nail tech and she’s honest with me with what I should l/shouldn’t do. I.e I had a few goes of eyelashes and ended up doin away with it cause it was just toooo much maintaining.... she said I should give it up sooner rather than later as it’s not recommended or comfy laying on ur back straight for that long. She would be the first to mention if I should stop/change products for my own health or bubbas (she has been a tech for almost 20years... and doin my nails on n off for 10 years)
Only thing my midwife mentioned (as personally showing signs of the start of pnd) is start getting bright/happy colours instead of my usual dark colours but keep doing it as it’s my one thing I do for “me time”. She never mentioned any danger. I think it’s a ventilation Issue that can cause harm

My OB said the main reason they say not to get your nails done is because your risk for infection is higher so honestly just keep your hands nice and clean ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

When I do a quick google search, it says it is generally safe unless used in huge amounts. You should be fine!
