Is Gingivostomatitis contagious after recovery ?

My niece had Gingivostomatitis maybe a month ago, she’s better now but today I saw her drinking from my daughters straw and then my daughter put it in her mouth and drank before I got to her, will my daughter get it? It was really scary when my niece got it. Since it’s a herpes strain I worry my daughter might get it since she’s 1 and put everything in her mouth at this age no matter how many times I stop her
