Basic training

I need some advice.. my boyfriend just arrived at BCT 4/27. He’s there for OSUT. My daughter is having an extremely hard time with it. She’s 2 and he’s the closest thing to a dad that she has. This week has been hard for her. She cries for hours for him and asks where he is. I explain to her that he’s working and will be home soon but I know she doesn’t understand that. She just doesn’t understand where he “daddy” is. Has anyone been in a similar situation and can give some advice on how to handle this?? 💔😭 my heart is broken.
