something that REALLY shocked me, and still does, is how much freaking fluid you have in there. they popped mine and it is a RIVER. this is one of the things they dont tell you, you will be shocked beyond belief.

another thing, your stomach will be as hard as a basketball (and shaped like one) during a contraction. and contractions intensify 100000x once your water breaks.

the pressure of the drop makes it feel like your butt is gonna fall out. i told the nurse this and she died laughing. said it was the truest thing and yet shes never heard somebody describe it that way until i did. i also told the nurse it felt like i was gonna push out a hamburger, top bun down, when i was ready to push. best way i could describe it 🤷🏼‍♀️

nobody ever told me that boys pee as soon as you remove the diaper. we were being sprayed and the poor nurse had to come in to help change the bedsheets. dont forget to face that spout down in the diaper too!
