Does anyone else feel the drive to be mindful/peel back the layers and change?

I saw a post online of someone asking if anyone else doesn’t want to change and majority said yes. So I’m wondering, what about you guys? I was telling my friend how over the past few years I’ve become more self aware. Whenever a negative thought about myself comes up I’ll think to myself, it’s ok to feel this, process it, then let it go. Then I think a positive affirmation. Recognize that how others act is most likely from their upbringing, trauma, insecurities, and judging someone isn’t the answer. Everyday I’m trying to better myself in some way and my friend told me that is too much. Does anyone else do this? Where you have the desire to stop and break the old family chain of old patterns and constantly evolve into your best self while enjoying the moment?
