Help me to rescue my cat !!!

So it’s been 3 weeks almost a month since my cat went up into the attic of the apartment building I live in... we used to let our cats out to the balcony which has a storage closet...well that closet has a hole that connects with the attic (I had no idea), my other cat goes up and down with no issue... the problem is that the cat trap there is very scared of jumping down and she has trust issues... she’d cuddle us but if we leave the apartment for one night she kinda forgets who we are until after a few hours, so she used to at least meow back at us but now she hides... we setup a trap but so far she won’t fall for it, my husband went up there and there’s places where he can’t reach she hides in... we’re running out of options and time... we live in Texas and is getting really warm :( please if you have any more ideas I’m open we miss her a lot
