How much formula is your 6m old taking?

And how often,  I know every baby's different but my doctor said my little guy is taking too much , he's taking 5-6 Oz every 2.5 hrs. He weighs 17 lbs. He spits up after every meal but I don't force feed him, he told me to decrease the amount of milk and increase food. But I know baby's get their nutrients from formula at this age so I'm confused 😕

My girl is 6.5mo old but for a couple weeks, she's been doing mostly 6oz every 3-3.5hrs. I'd say she avg 26oz per day. She was also 17lbs at her 6mo appt. 
Food before 1 is just for fun. We bottle feed first and then try a little food 30-60 mins later (if her nap doesn't interfere). She mostly just plays with it. I wouldn't worry about getting her to eat too much actual food this young.

Thank you everyone it really does help me compare,  he has always eaten on demand I guess it was too much I'm going to try and change how much formula he eats , and start solids more often.  I'm trying to get him to sleep without the bottle so maybe this will help!

My guy does 32-36 ounces a day. He has 4 8-9 oz bottles.. 7 am, 11 am, 3 pm and 7 pm. He does purees at daycare and one meal at home.

My son gets 6oz every 3-4 hours. But we started baby food and he gets 2 a day now. I was having the same problem with the spit up and his Dr recommended adding cereal to his formula (I know that's considered a choking hazard now) but we did that and it really has helped

6 ounces every four hours or so. Bottle at 7, 11, 2:30, 7:30. Total 24 ounces and she has solids once a day but going to try twice a day soon.

Athena takes 5/6 6 ounce bottles a day. Her doctor also recommended offering more food and making sure she wasn't to full to eat. Our oldest is 4 and it changes every baby. She also said to add oatmeal cereal to food and to introduce water.

My 6 month old girl has two 7 ounce bottles and two 5 ounce bottles each day. Usually after the smaller bottles I will offer some solids. It starts with a big bottle when waking, then a smaller one after first nap, big one after second nap, and smaller one after last nap. Then solids for dinner, if she doesn’t really eat the solids, I will give her 50ml of formula to top her up before bed.
She hasn’t been eating a lot lately, I think she may be teething :/
