Toddler LOVES grandparents

I know this is an amazing issue to have, don’t get me wrong. But, my two year old is no joke, OBSESSED with his grandparents on both sides. Every time we go over there, he doesn’t care if we leave which is great, but he throws an absolute FIT when we try and take him home. It doesn’t matter if he’s been there all day, or even if he stays the night. He does not want to leave at all. He’ll cry the whole way home, “grandma! Papaw!” He is at each grandparents house once a week. Each set is on a different schedule; my parents work during the week, and my husbands parents work on the weekends. So he stays with my parents in law one day during the week while we’re at work, and he’ll stay with my parents one day on the weekend if we have nothing going on. So he sees them really often.

Why is this happening?? He acts like he hates being at home. And he really doesn’t get whatever he wants while being there, although he does probably get more snacks and activities. It’s really starting to make me feel like we’re terrible parents because he never wants to come home with us. And he’s only two.
