How Much Spit Up is Too Much??

Question

Little man is 5 weeks, 5 days old and recently, after nursing for about 8-10 minutes, he’ll spit up what seems like a ton of milk. Then he’s hungry within an hour or so. I’m worried he’s not getting enough milk due to spitting up - anyone else have this issue??

Watch Bridget Taylor’s video on YouTube about spit up. It usually looks like a ton to us but it’s usually not that much. The way it spills out on clothes or something looks like a lot but it’s really not

We just noticed this yesterday too. Never spit up until now. 5 week old. I give breast milk in bottles and also getting back to actually nursing him. He seems hungry a lot. My sister reminded me that the volume of spit up is probably a little milk and stomach acid/digestive fluid even though it all looks like milk. 
I think our boy is having a growth spurt because he slept 4 hour stretch last night and is sleeping a little more today than usual too.

Oh yaa this 5 weeks clicks.... my girl also spit sometimes but not much before that i never see her spit up....

When this happens, I pop him off around 4-5 minutes and burp him and then go back to feeding. Sometimes they just suck in some air and the milk that comes in after that gets shot out if the bubble comes up
