Stressed?

Am I the only one stressing as August gets closer not having everything ready? This is my first baby and my baby shower is in June but we just started painting her room and I’m starting to have a ton of anxiety that nothing is ready. Is this normal?

Right there with you! We are building a house and it was supposed to be ready before the baby arrives but that looks like it’s not going to happen. If it does, we will probably be moving when I’m like 37 weeks pregnant, so that’s fun. I literally had a 3 hour meltdown last night about it. So now we have to do damage control and potentially move our 19 month old daughter into the guest room/playroom and put the baby’s stuff in her room. My nesting is out of control right now so I spent the whole day getting stuff out of the guest room in preparation for the worst case scenario. 😭🤯

I don’t even have a house yet haha we close this next week and I’ve gotta paint the entire interior and recarpet the upstairs and I own nothing to put IN the house. I haven’t bought anything for the baby at all. Your feelings are normal, you’re nesting. It’ll work out!

As long as they have somewhere to sleep, something to drink and something to cover their butt or practice EC and something to wear then that’s all you need for a baby. Really no need for you to go all out, most things you won’t even use. Just stop trying to go all out

Yes. My shower isn’t until July and I’m due August 21st. We just moved into our new home and everything is a wreck. However, I have been following minimalist moms on Tiktok most of them living in buses/ rvs with newborns. Honestly having a whole room packed full of stuff is a waste. You will maybe need 1/3 of that realistically. I’m not stressing a nursery being complete because my baby will obviously be in my room for several months before a transition to a nursery

Probably because it’s your first baby. It will be fine just wait to see what all you get from baby shower so you don’t buy 2 of anything.

We are set to move next month or in July and I’m kind of freaking out because I don’t have a room for my 9.5m old, let alone my newborn. 😂😭 She’s still sleeping in our bedroom!

Aha we have a stroller and that’s it so far... my baby showers have been cancelled as we’re still under lockdown. We just bought a house and don’t get possession of it until the beginning of June, we have some reno’s to do so hopefully we can be in by beginning of July? I have to laugh at my situation and just roll with it or I’ll cry. Hopefully baby doesn’t come early 🤞
