Thinking I overreacted...

So last night my cousin and I went out with this man and his cousin. The one I was talking too, we’ll call him K. I was riding with him in his car and my cousin was with his cousin. They stopped to buy us liquor and weed so we drank and smoked. My cousin was not feeling his at all, they just did not hit it off. But me and K were actually talking like we’ve known each other forever, joking around, singing together. It was just natural. I should probably add that these guys are a bit older. They’re both 25 and I’m 20. My cousin is 18. They were aware of our ages.

Anyway, we get in the car to go home and.. K starts kissing me and kissing my neck. On the car ride there, I did tell him that I don’t like when I get drunk or high and guys take advantage, and he agreed. He said he wasn’t that type of person. He said he doesn’t put his mouth on strangers... ok. So I was confused when he started kissing me and I was hurt as well. Idk if he kissed me cause he was high, having a good time, or if he was just being disrespectful because he knew I wasn’t in the right head space? I’ve had guys take advantage of me before while I was drunk and I told him that so it just hurt in the moment. I got out the car and just started walking, determined to find my own way home. He followed me, and we talked about it. He apologized a lot. But now I feel bad on top of still being confused. Idk whether he did it on purpose or not, and idk if I overreacted. Ughh. Sorry about how I’m typing also, I woke up with some leftover high 😂

** usually I get stupid drunk and high and this time I found my limit and stopped, so I’m proud of myself. Don’t need any negative comments on that. I’ll be 21 in a couple months, and weed is legal in my state, thank you **

*** to respond to the comments: my cousin is 18. She’s legally an adult. Yes they knew our ages and we knew theirs but that was already after the “partying” had started. Were we just supposed to leave because of the age difference? They were our ride. I told my cousin that they could just be friends if the age was an issue, which for her it wasn’t, she just didn’t like him. Also, I poured my own drink straight out the bottle and I watched them roll the blunt to make sure it wasn’t laced with anything. My cousin was not drinking, she just smoked her own weed pen. And yes, nobody should be driving if they’ve been drinking or smoking. 100% agree.
