Kissing baby rant

Rebeka

So honestly my baby is really easy and my postpartum experience has been really easy. Except for my mil making it hell

We got along really well prior to me having a baby and now I feel like I’m constantly repeating myself.

She keeps kissing my baby (he is 6 weeks now) I’ve had to ask my husband to tell her four separate times and send her fact about not kissing babies. She gets cold sores aswell so it’s even more dangerous.

I had to let her babysit on the weekend when we were going to a friends birthday (I really really didn’t want to but my mums babysat the last two times and it was a massive issue with my husband that I don’t trust his mum and won’t let her)

I was so stressed she’d kiss him while alone with him.

And then I reminded her before we left not to kiss him and she said in front of all my friends “oh I’m not allowed to kiss him” like sarcastically.

And then when we came home she was like so he gets his needles on Tuesday, then I can give him big slobbery kisses!

But like no. Why can’t she understand. I don’t want my baby to be kissed. Having needles doesn’t prevent him from getting sick. Kissing spread germs. I don’t want a sick baby. I don’t want him to get a cold or a cough or anything

I’m so over it, it’s exhausting 😩
