Dilation and effacement

I am 1cm dilated and 60% effaced.. can anyone give me some insight on whether or not this sounds like labor is approaching. *TMI* I also had this huge snot like string come out this morning, it was a tiny bit blood tinged & very thick... not sure if that is what a mucus plug typically looks like. I did see my OB yesterday, they are bumping my appointments to twice weekly now to keep an eye on the cervical changes. Other than that babies are doing great. Just wana hear from other moms 😅
