Last night my boyfriend came in me but he didn’t keep sexing me after he came. He came and then pulled out.. today is my first day of ovulating days but my actual ovulation day is the 31... is there a high possibility I could be pregnant?

If you don’t want to get pregnant use condoms or get on birth control yourself. You’re still within the window to take emergency contraception since you really have no idea when you might ovulate I would recommend that for now.

You only need one sperm to reach the egg's nuclei, true. It takes 24-32 hours for the sperm to reach the ovaries. Sperm can live up to 5 days inside a woman, and coincidentally, the fertile window starts 5 days before the egg is released. Since it was the day before your window, that means their numbers are seriously depleted by the time they start working on the egg. On top of that, it's not the first sperm to reach the egg, but the most opportune sperm. They have to chew through the egg's outer wall to penetrate and reach the nucleus. That takes time (also why the Plan B pill has a 48-72 hour window from conception), meaning more die off trying to penetrate the wall. When the hole has been chewed through, if there is a sperm left, then it will fertilize the egg.
1st day of the window, you have a 5% conception rate (if you don't have any medical interferences). Day 4&5 it's 30-35% because the sperm has the most time with the egg.
What complicates the process is predicting ovulation in humans is difficult. We don't have obvious symptoms like other mammals. Heck, some women have a condition where orgasm can cause the release of an egg if their ovaries are so inclined. For this reason, for the rest of the month, conception rate is set around 1-2%, because while improbable, it's never impossible. That's why protection is always important.

Guessing by now, you're outside the plan b efficacy window. Don't worry unless you start showing symptoms. Then take a hpt.
