What you all doing for nap time? My 7 week old only sleeps during the day if I’m holding her or right next to her 😩 I have been drinking a lot of coffee and am breastfeeding could that be the issue?

Not sure if it’s a reason, but definitely stop drinking coffee if you breastfeeding or at least get decaf.

I drink lots of coffee at least two cups a day. My boy is a great sleeper
He naps for two hours at a time and I legit have to wake him. He sleeps in his bassinet.

6 week old here. We’ve had a couple days like this now and I can’t put him in a carrier because I’m exclusive pumping. I need hands free and chest accessible for that! But usually if I swaddle him he stays in his bassinet asleep.

That’s pretty normal, my guy sleeps in a rocker during the day, sleeps fine in his bassinet at night, he’s 6 weeks old.

I have the same issue sometimes. My 6 week old loves to sleep on me or her dad during the day and the second I move her or put her in her bassinet she wakes up. She only stays asleep if she’s extremely tired. I find at night she sleeps better in her bassinet.

My baby is afraid of missing out on anything so we have him sleep in the loudest area of the house as possible. I have to make a lot of noise for him to sleep more than a few cat naps or else I would have to hold him. I struggle with it because i am NOT. A loud person !!

It’s not the coffee, I breastfeed and drink a cup of coffee every day and my 6 week old has days where she will sleep fine in her bassinet and days where she won’t sleep unless I’m holding her.  It’s normal and happens to all baby’s :)  I am apart of a breastfeeding support group and recently asked this same question myself and as long as your staying within the caffeine limit your fine.

My 6 week old is the exact same way!  He sleeps pretty good at night in his bassinet but if I put him there during the day he’s awake 15 minutes later!  Does anyone have any suggestions.
