Confused and scared (cross post)

I went to the er lastnight for chest pain and pain in my leg. The doctor ordered bloodwork to check for blood clots. Well my levels were pretty high. However after having a sonogram on both of my legs, thighs and they also did a ct scan of my chest. Those scans showed no blood clots. Now im at a lost as to why my numbers are high. I saw my primary doctor today and he is send me out to a cardiologist as my heart is having some issues. However he didn't mention much about my levels all he said was that they were "slightly high". My question is has any of you lovely ladies have any experience with this? Should I be concerned? Or just let it be?. I would also like to add I do have a mild case of aortoiliac atherosclerosis which could cause blood clots to form in my lower extremities and break off and they could lodge into my chest or somewhere else.
