I've been getting my birth control from Walmart pharmacy because I haven't had insurance for the past 9 months, but now I do.
I live in a very small town and we have one pharmacy. I want to transfe my script there, but I'm worried it'd not be covered by my insurance. At Walmart before insurance it was only $24 for 3 months, but the store is 30+ minutes away and I don't like making that drive when everything else I need is within 15 minutes. How do I find out if my birth control (Sprintec) is covered? I have Cigna insurance covered by my job

You can call your insurance to find out or just keep it at Walmart and have it shipped. Delivery is so much easier anyway!

If it’s not covered you’ll just pay the same price you were before insurance. You’d want to call the pharmacy to see what it costs without insurance

Most insurance providers have a spot on their website that you can check if a prescription is covered and what your cost is. Usually it's once you log into your account (because they need to know what particular policy you have).

You can call the insurance company and ask what your copay is or you can call the pharmacy and ask the same question.
