Baby just throws toys..

Our October Baby has Montessori toys, books, stuffed animals and squishy blocks, instruments and some balls.. unfortunately we can’t get him to play more then 3-9 minutes before he just throws everything and that’s more fun for him. While I’m cooking he’ll go to his play area but just throw everything and it entertains him a lot. Like he will literally sit himself, watch where he will throw and enjoy how it falls.. I know he’s just a baby and will play how he wants to.. but I just want to know that I’m not doing anything wrong on my end like not playing enough with him ? We do sit down and play with him every day but he doesn’t seem to be interested in how the toys actually work 😅 Is this normal ? Can my mom guilt go away or is this something I have to work on myself ?
