Measuring big!?

Just finished up at our anatomy scan! Our due date was October 24th but the tech said baby girl is measuring October 17th. So does that mean our due date is getting bumped up?

No. They should not move your due date this late. All babies grow differently but having a bigger baby does not mean they’re ahead developmentally. My babies are always tall too and measure ahead, but never move a due date this late. It’s more accurate!

Depends on your OB. Mine won’t change it unless it’s a 7 day difference. My baby measured 8 days ahead at my anatomy scan so we’ll see if my OB changes mine in 2 weeks. Not like it matters. These babes come when they are ready 😊

Nope. My friend measured two weeks ahead and they didn’t even change. Babies just grow at different rates! It makes sense, or else we’d all have the same size babies.

No. Not after 11-12 weeks. There’s too big of a range from then.

Im due the 24th too 😊 but my baby has been consistently measuring 5 days ahead. My ob said he’s just keeping my original due date. Its makes sense since its just an approximate time that baby would come around. My first pregnancy I delivered early because i had twins and then with my youngest i delivered exactly on my due date. Either way a few days or a weeks difference isn’t too bad as long as baby is doing well and growing well

You still follow your original due date. Mine is oct 14 but via scan is oct. 5 :)

I’ve always measured ahead and all of my babies were born after their due dates 🤣 they come when they want (or when induced as was the case with my 3)
